MISSION By Avalon Collection™
Prairie Direct Vent Gas Stove
A hallmark of our Mission Collection™ this meticulous tribute to the Mission and Prairie style furniture includes an arched toe board design used by Harvey Ellis in many of his Stickley™ furniture pieces.
"Have nothing in your house which you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful,"
William Morris - 1880
Morris was a leader of the Arts and Crafts movement, which originated in Britain in the late 19th century and soon spread to America and became established as the Mission style.
Designers of this period were convinced that industrialization had degraded the work process and destroyed the environment, reducing the formerly creative craftsman to an anonymous laborer.
Mission designs conform to the spirit and ideals of honesty in construction and fitness of purpose and while reviving the handicrafts of earlier times.
Rooted in the loving heritage of the Mission movement of the late 1800's in America, Avalon's Mission stoves bring warmth and integrity to your home. Painstakingly crafted, unrivaled in natural beauty and design, these stoves are built to last for generations.
This collection of stoves feature the styling of famous Mission designers of that period. The prominent mortise and tenon joinery, corbels and hammered metals were signature elements of the Mission period.
A future family heirloom, this memorable stove collection by Avalon will welcome guests and gather family in your home.
